Rockstar is revamping detective thriller L.A. Noire for current-gen consoles, including the Nintendo Switch.
The Switch version bundles together the original game with every piece of downloadable content, and is packed with console-specific enhancements like a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic controls, HD rumble, contextual touch-screen consoles, and wider over-the shoulder camera angles.
It’s promising news for Nintendo, with the Switch’s portfolio going from strength to strength since it launched back in March.
Naturally, L.A. Noire will also be heading to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and those versions will feature a number of technical upgrades such as enhanced lighting, high-res textures, and cinematic camera angles — which were likely too intensive for the Switch’s more conservative specs.
Rockstar will also be making its first foray into the world of virtual reality with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. The immersive experience will feature seven select cases from the original game, rebuilt specifically for virtual reality on the HTC Vive.
All three console versions will launch simultaneously on November 14, 2017, but there’s no word on when the VR Case Files will hit shelves.
