INDIANAPOLIS – Paul George isn’t satisfied with one playoff win and one triple-double.
He’s intent on doing it all over again Wednesday night when the Pacers and Hawks meet in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series in Indianapolis.
Actually, George’s goal is to improve on his Game 1 performance — and it won’t be easy. The All-Star forward finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists, played efficiently on defense, made 17 consecutive free throws and became only the second player in franchise history to record a triple-double in the NBA playoffs. Not surprisingly, the Pacers won 107-90 to take their first 1-0 lead in a playoff series since 2006.
But after spending all offseason trying to become a more versatile and reliable playoff performer, George insists it’s only a start.
